I Found My Heart in San Francisco

Hours:1000

Made for my wonderful husband Andrew Weaver Garrick. After almost 20 years of marriage, he passed away in February 2018.
My husband and I met as pediatric nurses at UCSF Medical Center in San Francisco. He lost his career due to a crippling and painful illness. He never let that define him. He chose to be loving, happy, creative, and courageous. He was heroic in how he lived . . . and in how he died.
While I remain lost in my grief, I am thankful for the years I had with him. We were not perfect in ourselves, but we were perfect for each other. We were crazy in love from when we first met until the day we had to part. I will always love, adore, and cherish him. Andrew is simply my heart. Forever grateful that he was mine.
Exhibited at The San Jose Quilt & Textile museum, The New England Quilt Museum.
